Beautiful hotel and well maintained. However, my stay was ruined by the manager not clearing my company’s reservation properly. Arrived and they asked me to pay for my week’s stay in advance though all others in my group were covered by my company. Talked them down to $300 which came out of my checking since I didn’t have my credit card. My own supervisor called the shift manager to get this corrected. For 5 days, I’ve been without this money. Maybe this was all a plan!! Maybe my wife wanted to keep me from spending money. Yeah, that’s it. Interestingly, I finally asked for the Head Manager on Wednesday after still no money. They called the poor guy at his home. He knew absolutely nothing about my situation. I’m a soft spoken guy. Maybe I should have made a huge scene the first 2 days. For whatever reason, the staff didn’t think they needed to get their head manager involved. What would you do? I chose to vent here a little on their blog. Makes me feel a little better. I could be shopping right now. The staff is young. Many have probably not been in this circumstance themselves, to see it from the customer’s point of view. Otherwise they would have been more empathetic and also solved this problem by now. Instead I got the quiet treatment as they looked intently into their computer screen. Oh well. I’ve stayed here many years and have loved it. Great location with Bridgeport shopping and restaurants. Trust they will learn from these situations. I know I will.
