Last month The Grand Hotel Bridgeport received the 2013 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence, an award that  honors hospitality excellence.

TripAdvisor® is one of the top trusted travel sites that features consumer reviews and advice on hotels, resorts, flights, vacation rentals, vacation packages, travel guides, and more.

“I recently had the pleasure of staying here for a night. I had stayed at a Grand Hotel in Salem and was happy to see this location was very similar. The rooms are a great size, comes with all the normal modern hotel perks; Flat Screen TV, Free WiFi, Microwave, Refrigerator, Big bathroom, and is very clean and new looking (no old fixtures and what not). I was disappointed to see the hotel had no Lounge/Bar area. However luckily this hotel is located in walking distance to a very nice outdoor mall and tons of restaurants. Parking was plenty, hotel staff was professional. Overall I’d give this place another stay if I ever find myself back in the area.”

“Our visit to The Grand was ……Grand! What a great hotel! We have stayed at the Grand in downtown Salen several times but found ourselves near Portland one weekend and decided to give The Grand at Bridgeport a try. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite. The room was HUGE! The things that I look for in a hotel are – cleanliness, quality and atmosphere ( peace and quiet). The Grand was top notch in my book. Service at the front counter, from check in to questions we had were excellent and friendly. The room was spotless clean. Super comfly and very quiet. In the morning they have a free breakfast that includes more than just a doughnut or piece of toast….a full breakfast, eggs, waffles, bacon, etc. Again, all very well prepared and presented. The hotel looks very new, the grounds are clean and safe and the lobby is beautiful and welcoming. Put all that together with great service, clean, quiet rooms for half the price of staying in downtown Portland on a weekend? You can’t go wrong with this place! Room Tip: The jacuzzi suite is slightly more, but well worth the price.”

santawithbagThe Bridgeport Express begins Friday, November 27 – Wednesday, December 23 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm.  A new addition to the holiday season, The Bridgeport Express will provide fun filled train rides around the village. This 35 passenger, solar operated train will take you to your destination. Frequent stops include: Sur La Table, Coach, Urban Outfitters, Borders Book & Music and in between Coldwater Creek & Talbots. This “green” solar train is trackless and accommodates children and adults. Rides are free!

Light Up The Night – Friday, November 27, 6pm – 7:30pm The holiday season begins with a festive celebration. Santa will be making his grand entrance on the Bridgeport Express and will set foot into his Renaissance Home. Be there as we light the Bridgeport Village Christmas Tree in center court. Afterwards visit Santa to get your holiday photo. Plus enjoy musical entertainment by Radio Disney!

The Grand Hotel At Brideport Opened its Doors on August 26.

The curtains have been pressed and hung, the landscaping planted, the door knobs polished, the windows cleaned, and the pillows fluffed and a hot complimentary breakfast prepared by Chef Taylor is waiting for you.  Opening a new hotel is a big task- but we did it!

The Grand Hotel at Bridgeport officially opened for business on August 26 and we have had a very successful 2 weeks thus far!

We have been pleased with the positive feedback we have received from guests and members of the communitity.  So far, our guests are most impressed with the impeccable service from our staff  and the level of comfort they enjoyed in the luxurious rooms and suites.  We are proud of our new hotel, our green and sustainable practices, and our talented staff that have come together to make this happen.

We want to thank the Bridgeport Village and the surrounding community for welcoming us so openly and are happy to be Portland’s newest luxery hotel!
