Washington County Visitors Association to Hold Autumn Nature Photo Contest Prizes worth up to $3,275 to be awarded!

The Tualatin Valley ranks among the most scenic regions of the state, with pristine wetlands, nature parks and wildlife observation points throughout the destination. To celebrate the splendor of autumn, the Washington County Visitors Association (WCVA) is holding a “Focus on Autumn Nature Photo Contest,” which launches September 1, 2014.

Open to amateur and professional photographers, shutterbugs of all ages are invited to submit up to five images of Oregon’s Washington County’s natural beauty, wildlife and picturesque vineyard and valley rural landscapes.

Prize sponsors of the contest include The Shutterbug, Leupold Optics and onOne Software:

1st Place: Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera, plus UV filter, camera bag, Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer and more (provided by The Shutterbug), plus onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 Premium Edition software (total value $2,500)

2nd Place: Binoculars from Leupold Optics and onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 Premium Edition software (total value $475)

3rd Place: $100 Visa Gift Card and onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 Premium Edition software (total value $200)

Honorable Mention: onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 Premium Edition software (total value $100)

Images are to be submitted to flickr.com/groups/focusonautumn/, between September 1 and November 30, 2014 (early or late submissions will not be accepted). All images submitted for the contest may be used in the WCVA’s marketing materials, such as website, advertisements and social media efforts.
