The festival returns June 24th-26th, 2016 to Cook Park, Tigard!
What do you get when you cross live music, a beer garden, food vendors, a Funtastic carnival, Cook Park, and hot air balloons? You get the Festival of Balloons, that’s what! This event is one of Oregon’s most beloved and popular, drawing in over 15,000 people each year — and it’s easy to see why!
Just picture a beautiful summer sky filled with colorful balloons as well as a cold beer in one hand and a delicious treat in the other and you’ll understand the allure of the Festival of Balloons.
If that wasn’t enough to convince you, what if we told you that by taking part in Festival of Balloons you are also helping Tigard? The Festival of Balloons is a non-profit organization that raises funds for many non-profit groups throughout Tigard, such as Tigard Breakfast Rotary, Tigard Lunch Rotary, THS Boosters, A.C.S. Relay for Life Tigard-Tualatin, THS LaCrosse, THS Band and Auxiliary Parent Association, and Southside Soccer. So you see, by taking part in these fun-filled days you’re also helping make a difference!
You don’t want to miss the Festival of Balloons, give us a call at (503) 968-5757 or toll-free at (866) 968-5757 to find out about room rates and vacancy.
If you do decide you want to see the balloon launch, plan to arrive VERY EARLY. Balloons launch from the field on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings between 5:45 AM – 6:15 AM (weather and winds permitting). For those later risers among you don’t worry, the not to be missed Night Glow takes place during the Friday and Saturday evenings.
