What Are the Best Dining Options Near The Grand Hotel Bridgeport?

Our destination has made a name for itself in food circles for its wealth of authentic and exotic foods, from meals inspired by the agricultural bounty of the Willamette Valley to trendy global cuisine.- tualatinvalley.org

There are numerous advantages of being in the heart of Willamette Valley, one of the richest agricultural areas in Oregon. Our restaurant scene could not be more diverse! In fact, when you visit our area, you will immediately know you are in "foodie heaven". Visitors are sometimes overwhelmed with the many choices open to them in our region. We're here to help. Whether you're a foodie looking for an authentic local dining experience or need something on the fly, you will be able to find the perfect spot within close proximity to our hotel. Here some recommended dining options we have come across in the Lake Oswego, Tigard and Tualatin area.

Our unique food culture

Our local dining seen offers some amazing cuisine offering a variety with Italian, Mexican and Asian fare.If it's pizza & pasta you're craving look for places like the laid back New York Ruben's, Bellagios Pizza, Pastini Pastaria or Cafe Allegro (offers a romantic "bistro" setting). For a truly special dining experience, Riccardo's is one of the best options around. This unique and authentic Italian restaurant uses the freshest ingredients and will not disappoint. There are also many acclaimed Asian and Asian Fusion restaurants featuring Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese like Izumi Japanese Steakhouse, Maki and Nón Lá Vietnamese. Sinju Sushi in Bridgeport Village is a local favorite with fantastic Asian fare.

Delicious seafood

Many of our local restaurants offer amazing seafood as this region has access to some of the freshest seafood available on the west coast. Our local chefs know how to bring out the best in every dish they prepare by using farm-fresh produce in restaurants like the newly opened Ways & Means Oyster House in Bridgeport Village (offers fresh, sustainably-caught seafood) and UglyFish (don't let the name fool ya. People are consistently praising this place). McCormick and Schmick's, also at Bridgeport Village, offers fabulous steak and seafood dishes our guests can't get enough of. Fun Fact: The local delicacy here is crawfish, which can be pulled right from the Tualatin River and placed in a seafood boil. There's even a local Crawfish Festival!

Unlimited "Gastropubs" to choose from

If you're seeking a more "laid-back" atmosphere or you prefer the hipster bars of downtown Portland, the restaurants in the Tigard/Tualatin area will not disappoint. Here, you will find several restaurants with a great local vibe that serve craft beer and offer delicious and eclectic menus like Stickman in Tualatin and Fly Boys in Tigard, Ancestry Brewing, Big Eddy Tap House and Three Mermaids Public House. We also recommend unwinding in local spots like Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar at Bridgeport Village

Family-friendly comfort cuisine

Tualatin attracts numerous families and seniors, so there are plenty of reasonably priced traditional "American" dining and breakfast options. Good ones to try are Miller's Homestead and the newly opened Cracker Barrel in Tualatin features homestyle breakfasts and comfort food along with an on-site general store. We're also big fans of Famous Daves BBQ and Village Inn right across the street. If you're looking for solid vegetarian and vegan options, Native Foods Cafe, a fast-casual vegan restaurant chain, is close by and getting rave reviews!

Mexican flavors

If it's Mexican food you're craving, you're in luck. Taquerias are abundant throughout our area, with Celia's Mexican Restaurant right here in Tualatin, Sanchez Taqueria (one guest called it the "Best Darn Mexican Food in Tigard"), The Tamale House, Taco Del Sol, Taqueria La Fuente and Rosie's Kitchen (which we hear offers really good authentic Mexican food). Our guests also rave about Jefe's Mexican in Lake Oswego!

Dining in Lake Oswego

If you headed to Lake Oswego for the day, some places to check out are Clarkes and Five Spice, Babica Hen Cafe and La Provence. Oh, and be sure to treat yourself to a cup of coffee and irresistible pastry (or other sweet treats) at St. Honoré Boulangerie! There are so many more we could mention, but time will not allow! As the most culturally diverse region in the state, diners can choose everything from globally inspired cuisine to comfort food. Our local restaurants garner rave reviews with innovative menus and a range of choices. Impressive wine, beer, cocktail, and saké lists—many with locally produced beverages—are the hallmarks of the region’s growing culinary offerings.
